Outstanding applications are solicited for 1~2 PhD positions in real-time data-driven control and optimization of large-scale cyber-physical systems with a special emphasis on edge computing/networks and robotics, in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at New York University. The selected student will be offered a PhD Fellowship which covers full-time tuition and stipend. The total package is around $75,000 per year. The ideal candidate should have a passion for research and have a solid background in control systems or applied mathematics. Preference will be given to students with working knowledge of AI/machine learning and dynamic programming, or are familiar with edge computing, robotics, connected and autonomous vehicles or human-robot interaction.
