Biography
Dr. Ninghao Liu (cobweb.cs.uga.edu) is an assistant professor in the School of Computing at University of Georgia (UGA). He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Texas A&M University in 2021, M.S. from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2015. His research focuses on Trustworthy AI and Data Mining, with special interests in Explainable AI, Graph Mining, Recommender Systems, Outlier Detection, and Adversarial Machine Learning. He has published more than 40 research papers in top-tier international conferences and journals, such as KDD, WWW, ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, WSDM, CIKM, ICDM, IJCAI, AAAI, TPAMI, and Communications of the ACM. He received the Outstanding Paper Award in ICML 2022, Best Paper Award Candidate in ICDM 2019, and Best Paper Award Shortlist in WWW 2019.
For Prospective Ph.D. Students
I am looking for Ph.D. students who are interested in pursuing Data Mining and Machine Learning research, especially Trustworthy AI, Graph/Network Analytics, AI Security, and NLP. Self-funded visiting students/scholars are also welcome to apply.
