西岸 ICC Marketing 期间跑路 被要求赔款

请问大家，五月份在西海岸ICC培训交过6000刀，八月份开始marketing，期间没有上项目就跑路小厂了。之前签了marketing agreement说如果三个月内退出要赔款。签完这个marketing agreement之后，ICC发来了offer，上面写着我是unpaid software engineer, at-will employement. 今天ICC发invoice说要赔8000刀，我之前以为是再补加2000，这样培训费 6000 + 违约金2000 一共8000, 没想到其实是6000 + 8000。

offer是这样写的 Currently, *company* does not provide medical insurance, stock options. Your employment at *company* is at will. This means that either you or *company* may terminate the employment relationship at any time for any reason, with or without cause or advance notice.

marketing agreement是这样写的 Pay COMPANY a make-up fee of $8,000 (eight thousand dollars) if APPLICANT decides to leave the program (covered by this Agreement) pre-maturely, after this program starts and before this Agreement ends.

虽然ICC在San Jose, CA, 但是我从来没有去过CA，一切都是Remote。我不需要职业移民这条路来办绿卡，目前F1 OPT身份，SEVP只挂在ICC一周就挪出去了，这种情况下如果不赔会怎么样？
