Dr. Shuna Ni将于2022年8月入职马里兰大学消防工程系担任助理教授。目前Dr. Ni 是犹他州立大学的助理教授。在入职犹他州立大学前，Dr. Ni 在约翰霍普金斯大学从事博士后科研工作。Dr. Ni 于2018年毕业于Texas A&MUniversity, College Station.

Dr. Ni的研究主要集中于 (1) 基于概率的结构抗火分析，(2)火灾相关的多灾害研究，(3)高层木结构的防火, (4)火灾对民用基础设施的影响, (5)火灾现场调查，(6)智能消防

Description: One Ph.D. graduate research assistant positionand one postdoctoral fellow position are available. The candidates will focus on research related to building environments under fire and fire-related multiple hazards. The expected start semester is Fall 2022.

• Requirements for Ph.D. students: Students with a master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Fire Protection Engineering are preferred, while outstanding undergraduate students will also be considered.
• A minimum 3.5 GPA
• TOEFL internet-based test overall score of 96 or IELTS exam overall score of 7.0
• About the Supervisor: Dr. Shuna Ni will join the Department of Fire Protection Engineering at the University of Maryland in August 2022. Dr. Ni’s group focuses on probabilistic structural fire engineering, smart firefighting, fire safety of tall mass-timber buildings, impacts of fire on civil infrastructures, fire-related multiple hazards, and fire forensics.
