Postdoc position (Dependable Explainable Learning) at Polytechnique Montreal

Polytechnique Montreal and the University of Montreal are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join their DEpendable Explainable Learning (DEEL) project. The project focuses on the robustness, interpretability, and certifiability of machine learning applications. The Postdoctoral Researcher will help carry out the following duties:

- Design and conduct research projects.
- Co-supervise master’s and Ph.D. students.
- Organize team meetings.
- Coordinate between professors and research students.
- Publish papers and help organize conferences and workshops.

Qualifications:

- Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- A solid track record of publications on software engineering and/or machine learning.
- Experience in research collaboration.
- Experience in teaching and mentoring junior researchers.
- Fluency in English.

Preferred qualifications:

- Solid understanding of machine/deep learning algorithms and experiences of applying these algorithms.
- Experience in software engineering studies, especially empirical software engineering studies.
- Be passionate in research studies and ambitious to pursue academic positions.

Contract duration: One year (extensible up to three years)

Salary: 60,000 CAD per year.
