1）公平性学习：建立无歧视、可惠及整个社会的机器学习模型和人工智能系统
2）因果推断与因果表征学习：利用结构性因果模型建立更鲁邦的机器学习模型
3）仇恨语言检测：建立鲁棒的仇恨语言检测模型用以自动检测仇恨语言

there is currently an opening for ph.d. students in the causalai lab at the university of arkansas, starting from fall 2021. the student will be supported as graduate research assistants (ra). the ra support includes monthly stipend and out-of-state tuition waiver. applicants are expected to have a b.s. in computer science or closely related fields. applicants are encouraged to send their supporting materials (e.g. resume or unofficial transcripts) to me (1point3acres.com) before submitting their formal applications.
the student is expected to work on cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence and machine learning, including fair machine learning, causal discovery and inference, and robust hate speech detection.
requirements for ph.d. admission:
;147 qualitative (verbal) and 157 quantitative (math) for gre.
;earned at least a 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) grade point average on the last 60 hours of bachelor’s degree course work (approximately last two years of a four-year degree program).
;provided official evidence of all academic course work and confirmation of an appropriate bachelor's or master's degree.
;presented a minimum toefl score of 550 (paper- based)/79 (internet-based) or a 6.5 on the ielts.
;preferred cs courses taken including data structures, algorithms, programming proficiency in c++ and java operating systems (which requires digital design and computer org), formal languages, and database.
