Job Description:
Opportunity for cutting-edge research in next-generation communication systems.
The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) invites applications for a Research Assistant or Associate in the Pillar of Information Systems Technology and Design (ISTD).

Responsibility. The Research Assistant/Associate (RA) will be responsible to work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and his study team in the areas of next-generation communication systems. An emphasis will be placed on building a software-defined communication testbed and assisting existing research work in the physical layer.

Qualifications

• Have a good Bachelor or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent from a well-recognized university in a relevant area.
• Programming skills in C/C++ or Python or MATLAB.
• Experience in research.
• Knowledgeable about wireless communication (modulation, coding, MIMO, CSI, etc)
• Knowledgeable about software-defined radio (such USRP or equivalent)
  

Preference will be given to candidates with experiences with any of the following areas:

• Using MATLAB for signal processing.
• General knowledge about 5G and 6G.
• General knowledge about machine learning and deep learning.
• General knowledge about cloud and containers.
