Three Ph.D. Research Assistant scholarships are available in the experimental research of materials (metals or ceramics) or advanced manufacturing, starting from summer or fall 2022. The candidates are expected to have Master and Bachelor degrees in Materials Science or Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, Lasers, Nuclear Engineering, or related engineering discipline. Candidates need to satisfy UNL’s Graduate Admission Requirements in English (TOEFL 79 or IETLS 6.5). GRE score is waived for Year 2022 enrollment.
The successful candidates will join in Dr. Bai Cui’s research lab at the department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). Dr. Cui is an associate professor at UNL, who leads the cutting-edge research of materials for extreme environments (e.g., high-entropy materials) and novel manufacturing processes (including 3D printing, laser processing, SPS), has many collaborations with U.S. industry and national labs. He received his Ph.D. from Imperial College London and Master/Bachler degree from Tsinghua University.
