CUNY的waitlist转正几率

三周前面试的，和其中一个老师在面试后还在一个talk见过简短的聊过，今天被通知waitlist了，邮件如下，

This year brought us an unusually small but strong group of applicants and we had to make some difficult decisions for 6 positions. The Admissions Committee decided to place you on a wait list. We anticipate that some slots will become available and when that occurs, we will inform you immediately. Until then, we can only say that we were very impressed by your application. You will hear from us no later than April 15th, 2020.

邮件中说今年的申请人特别少？是不是录取人数也会相应减少呢？
有了解Graduate Center at CUNY这个学校的朋友吗？他们家转正几率大吗？
