Applications are invited for a fully funded PhD position in the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The research will focus on interdisciplinary problems at the intersection of mechanics, AI, and sustainable manufacturing. Funding is provided through a stable multi-year fellowship, with a start date in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.
Preferred qualifications include a strong background in mechanics, mechanical engineering, materials science, applied mathematics, or a related field. Prior experience with manufacturing or sustainability-related research is helpful but not required.
