Dr. Yidan Hu in the Department of Cybersecurity at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is looking for several self-motivated Ph.D. students with RA support, starting from Fall 2026 or Spring 2027. A successful candidate is fully funded and expected to conduct research related to one or multiple areas in data privacy and AI security.
An ideal candidate is expected to have
-A Bachelor or preferably a Master degree in CS, CE, or a relevant area (e.g., Applied Mathematics);
-Basic programming skills, such as python etc.
-Strong mathematical skills, including probability analysis (A plus).
-Previous research experience in privacy, security, AI or other related areas (A big plus).
