Fully Funded PhD/RA/PostDoc in RL

Available Research Assistant, PhD, and Postdoc positions
I'm an associate professor at Duke Kunshan University, which is a partnership with Duke University. I'm looking for excellent candidates to work with me on topics related to (deep) reinforcement learning (RL). Two main topics are currently explored: neural combinatorial solvers and RL with human feedback, but other topics may be possible.
The post-doc and research assistant (RA) positions will be based on the beautiful campus of Duke Kunshan University (dukekunshan.edu.cn), which is
located in Kunshan (15 minutes away from Shanghai via high speed train).
The RA positions are suitable for students who want to strengthen their research profile before applying to a graduate program overseas or in China.
For the PhD positions, the qualified student will be officially enrolled in another university (e.g., Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Wuhan University, Zhejiang University, University of Nottingham Ningbo China), depending on the student's background. The PhD student will be co-supervised by a professor in the partner university and me.
For all these positions, the ideal candidate should be already familiar with (deep) reinforcement learning and have some research experience. S/he should be proficient in Python programming and know frameworks like Pytorch or TensorFlow. In addition, s/he should be self-motivated, hard-working, rigorous, open-minded, and have an excellent (written and oral) English, which will be the working language.
