如何确定需不需要 CPT？

楼主在最近收到了 Anthropic 的 Research Fellows Offer，他们的律师说他们起草的 Research Collaboration Agreement 不需要走 CPT，但我对此有点怀疑，与学校 ISSS 确认过后他们建议还是需要走 CPT。我应该没办法走 Full-time CPT，因为会超十二个月，所以得走 Part-time CPT，也有点复杂。

不知道有没有什么快速能判断到底需不需要 CPT 的方法？Anthropic 的 Legal Team 是说这并不是一个正式的 Employment，Agreement 里也明确写了没有雇佣关系，不需要跟 Anthropic 回报/负责等

但他们有 weekly stipend "to support the research"，感觉这也是学校这方的顾虑：觉得可能还是会被认定是需要 CPT。原话是：

Exhibit B in this agreement addresses compensation (stipend, invoices, and payment). If there is any chance that you will receive compensation as part of this agreement, you need CPT to protect your status. 
ISSS is advising that you proceed with CPT in this situation to protect your immigration status. 

有点不知道该怎么办，两边各执一词，back and forth 与两边的 Email 来往也非常痛苦。。
