Ph.D. and Master’s Student Positions at The University of Oklahoma
Several Ph. D. student and master’s student positions are now available in Dr. Yuchen Qiu’s research group in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at The University of Oklahoma (OU). The main research purpose of this laboratory is to develop novel microscopic imaging modalities for various clinical tasks. Our current research is focused on AI in Medical Image Analysis, Ultrasound Imaging, and low cost microscopic systems such as Fourier ptychography microscopy.
The ideal candidate will be a college graduate with bachelor or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or other related fields. The candidate should have basic skills in either 1) AI technologies, e.g. parameter efficient fine tuning, LLM/LLAVA model, and etc.; 2) Ultrasound image technologies, especially ultrasound localization microscopy; 3) Optical systems. Candidates with hands on experience in related research are preferred. Basic proficiency in English (both spoken and written) is required.
Once the studentship is offered, the graduate research assistantship (GRA) will also be provided including a tuition waiver for up to 6 credit hours per semester as well as a monthly stipend to cover living expenses. General health insurance will also be included.
