Prof. Parth Pathak's Wireless, IoT, and Sensing (WiSL) lab in Computer Science at George Mason University is looking for two highly motivated Ph.D. students.

Research areas:
Our research group works on a range of topics in wireless systems and machine learning. This includes

  • wireless/mmWave sensing and imaging, NextG wireless networking, wireless-to-3D perception, multimodal fusion, joint communication and sensing, AI/ML for wireless systems, TinyML on IoTs, and wireless for robotics applications

Ph.D. positions:

  • Strong background in machine learning and experience with deep learning models will be considered a plus. Alternatively, candidates with a background in wireless networks, signal processing and communication are also equally welcome to apply.
  • Both positions are fully funded throughout and include a stipend.
  • The application deadline is December 1, 2025, for Fall 2026 admissions (apply sooner for full consideration).
