Two Ph.D. positions with full financial support are now available for Spring 2026/Fall 2026 in Dr. Changqing Luo’s group at the University of Houston. Students will be admitted into the Computer Engineering program at the ECE department, and co-advised by Dr. Changqing Luo at the Information Science Technology Department and Dr. Miao Pan/Dr. Zhu Han at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, University of Houston (UH), located in Houston, Texas, US.
Applicants should have a Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree (or expect to receive the degree before enrollment at UH) in Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Applied Mathematics, or related disciplines. Applicants with strong hands-on experience and/or a strong background in security/ AI/machine learning/optimization are particularly welcome to apply.

Changqing Luo (robertcluo.github.io) is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Information Science Technology at UH. His current research focuses on AI security, AI, and its applications in power systems and intelligent wireless communication and networking. His publications have appeared in prestigious conferences and journals.
