Requirements
Preferred to be in majors of CE/CS/EE, Mathematics related majors are also desirable.
Proficiency in English both speaking and writing abilities Efficiency in programming Languages such as VHDL/Verilog, Python, CC++, and so on. Great enthusiasm for doing research oriented tasks. Excellent teamwork member.
Degree: both BS and MS graduates or similar are warmly welcomed to apply.
Deadline: better to start at Spring 2026. It is always better to apply as early as possible. Position is open until it is filled. Note: Villanova is rolling based and admission is flexible!

Dr. Jiafeng “Harvest” Xie is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Villanova University. His research interests include post-quantum security and cryptography, fully homomorphic encryption, fault detection, and digitalization for telemetry systems.
Dr. Xie has served as TPC member for many reputed conferences. Currently, he is serving as Associate Editor for IEEE Trans. Signal Processing. He is also serving as Senior Associate Editor for IEEE Trans. Circuits and Systems-II: Express Briefs. Previously, he served as Associate Editor for IEEE Trans. VLSI Systems. He received the IEEE Access Outstanding Associate Editor 2019, the Best Paper Award from IEEE International Symposium on Hardware Oriented Security and Trust (HOST) 2019, the IEEE Philadelphia Section Merrill Buckley Jr. Student Project Award 2022, and IEEE Philadelphia Section Engineer of the Year Award 2024.
