Laplace Laboratory (Applied Probabilistic Learning & Clinical Engineering) invites motivated students to join the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. We are seeking PhD students passionate about advancing the fields of applied artificial intelligence, statistical learning, and AI-driven healthcare solutions. The candidate will be advised by Zihao Wang, assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at UT, visiting research scientist at the A. A. Martinos Center at Harvard University.
Funding: Successful applicants will receive full funding through RA/TA positions, covering tuition, a monthly stipend, and health insurance.
Research Focus: Laplace Laboratory (laplace.center) works on interdisciplinary research projects, primarily focusing on medical image-guided diagnostics and clinical decision support systems.
Collaborative Opportunities: Students will have the chance to engage in cutting-edge research and collaborate with leading institutions such as Harvard Medical School, Inria, and the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, expanding their professional networks and enhancing their research impact.
Requirements: Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related fields. Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with machine learning frameworks. Background in data analysis and statistical learning.
