We are seeking highly motivated PhD students to join Dr. Fei Ding's research group at the University of Utah, with fully funded positions available starting Fall 2025 or Spring 2026. Our research focuses on wind hazard mitigation and enhancing infrastructure resilience through advanced computational modeling and artificial intelligence.

Dr. Fei Ding is an incoming Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Utah (starting August 2025). She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Rice University. Dr. Ding holds a Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame, an M.Phil. from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and a B.E. from Zhejiang University.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field;
- GPA ≥3.0/4.0, TOEFL>80 or IELTS> 6.5;
- Strong programming skills in Python or C++, with experience in computational modeling;
- Preferred experience in computational fluid dynamics, intelligent structures, cyber physical systems, and scientific machine learning.
