Multiple PhD/postdoc positions in Biomedical Engineering

PI: Dr. Limei Tian is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Texas A&M University. She obtained her Ph.D. supervised by Prof. Srikanth Singamaneni from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Washington University in St. Louis in 2014. Dr. Tian was a Beckman Institute Postdoctoral Fellow supervised by Prof. John A Rogers at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2015 to 2018. Her research group focuses on designing and developing functional materials and wearable and implantable devices for advanced health care. She has published peer-reviewed articles in highly respected journals, including Nature Biomedical Engineering, Science Advances, Advanced Materials, PNAS, ACS Nano, and Nano Letters. She is the recipient of the National Science Foundation summer institute fellowship, Materials Research Society graduate student award, Beckman Institute Postdoctoral Fellowship, NIH NIBIB Trailblazer Award, ADVANCE National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD) Faculty Success Fellow NIH NIGMS MIRA R35 Award, TEES Young Faculty Fellow Award, and Biomedical Engineering Excellence Faculty Fellowship.

PhD/postdoc positions: The Tian lab (tianlab.engr.tamu.edu in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Center for Remote Health Technologies and Systems at Texas A&M University has four Ph.D. positions and one postdoc position available. Students interested in the research areas, including organic/inorganic hybrid materials, chemical and biological sensors, and wearable and implantable devices, are welcome to apply.
