About the Advisor
Hongyuan Liu will join Stevens Institute of Technology as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science in Spring 2025. His research expertise lies in computer architecture and high-performance computing, with a particular focus on optimizing irregular applications for GPUs. His work aims to improve computational efficiency in applications with irregular control flows, memory access patterns, and parallelism. He earned his Ph.D. from the College of William & Mary. He interned at Intel in Fall 2019 and was a visiting student at Argonne National Laboratory in Spring 2021. Before pursuing his academic career, Hongyuan worked as a software engineer at Baidu. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Shandong University and a Master's degree from the University of Hong Kong. His work received a Best Paper Award at ASPLOS 2024.

Qualifications
Applicants should meet the following basic qualifications:
