University of Rhode Island:
Are you interested in computer science graduate studies in America? Come join Professor Kaleel’s research group at the University of Rhode Island. There are multiple funded openings for machine learning and security PhD students starting in fall 2024 and in 2025. Professor Kaleel has a proven track record mentoring multiple M.S. and PhDkaleel-mahmood.scholar.uconn.edu, with over 600 citations and publications in top machine learning and security venues likes ICCV, IEEE and CHES. Professor Kaleel’s group alsokaleel-mahmood.scholar.uconn.edu with researchers from Meta, silicon valley startups and many other top U.S. universities including UMass Amherst, UConn and NC State.
Why URI:
1. URI ranks #80 for U.S. public schools and #139 in computer science. URI has a small but aggressively growing C.S. program. Requirements to Apply:
  1. Have a strong background in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics or statistics.
  2. Have a 3.5/4.0 GPA or higher from your current institution.
  3. Have at least one co-authored publication or solid project in machine learning or a related computer science field.
