Ph.D. Student Positions in Biomedical Imaging at University of Cincinnati
Two Ph.D. student positions are open in biomedical imaging at University of Cincinnati for Fall 2024. The successful candidates will join the Emission Tomography Imaging Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, which has close collaboration with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Yale PET Center, and the University of Michigan Cardiovascular Center. Active projects include developing image reconstruction and image analysis techniques in multimodality imaging including PET/CT, SPECT/CT and PET/MRI with a focus on integrating machine learning techniques.
University of Cincinnati is a premier, public, urban research university (R1). It was named one of the world's most beautiful college campuses and provides a diverse, inclusive, and supportive environment. Graduates from the lab have won prestigious awards and received multiple job offers from top research institutes and medical imaging companies in the US and their home countries.
Applicants should have a B.S. or M.S. (preferred) degree in biomedical/electrical engineering, medical physics, physics, or a closely related field. Self-motivation, good programming and writing skills, and willingness to work in a multidisciplinary collaborative environment are expected. Relevant experience and skills in mathematics, physics, modeling, image reconstruction techniques, and/or a related imaging modality are desired.
