大家好， 我在今年秋季刚刚入职美国西北大学 (Northwestern University)，目前在统计与数据科学系担任助理教授。希望在2024 Fall招收1-2个全奖博士、多个硕士生 (长期有效，优秀者可提供RA)、多个实习生（本校或者远程，长期有效，优秀者可提供RA)。一直以来我有着丰富的合作经验并成功帮助了很多同学，对于我未来的学生以及合作者，我也会尽我所能地指导他们并推荐好的学校交流访问以及实习工作机会。
西北大学是一所美国著名顶尖私校，长期稳居各种榜单的美国top 10，世界top 30。地处风景优美的芝加哥北郊Evanston。如果你喜欢大城市的丰富多彩又希望有一个风景优美安全宜居的校园，Northwestern绝对是你心目中的理想之一。但西北大学一直以来在AI相关方向的受关注度不够高，所以想通过这个帖子宣传一下西北大学，我所在的学院，以及我自己。近两三年西北大学特别是我所在的学院（Statistics & Data Science）发展迅速，并将发展的侧重点放在机器学习，数据科学等AI热门方向。所以，非常欢迎有兴趣的同学申请我们系2024 Fall的和PhD以及Master项目！希望我们可以一起做出有影响力的工作！

Kaize Ding is an Assistant Professor in Statistics and Data Science at Northwestern University. Prior to joining Northwestern, he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at Arizona State University in 2023 under the supervision of Prof. Huan Liu. Kaize's research interests are generally in data mining, machine learning, and natural language processing, with a particular focus on graph mining/graph machine learning, data-efficient learning, and reliable AI. Meanwhile, he is passionate about developing knowledge-guided AI algorithms to advance high-impact applications in various domains, such as cybersecurity, information retrieval, and healthcare. His work has been published in top-tier conferences and journals (e.g., AAAI, EMNLP, IJCAI, KDD, NeurIPS, TheWebConf, and TNNLS), and has been recognized with several prestigious awards and honors, including the ASU Graduate Outstanding Research Award and ASU Graduate College Completion Fellowship, etc. Kaize has also established close collaborations with Google Brain, Microsoft Research, and Amazon Alexa AI.
