导师简介：
- Manling Li (李曼玲) 将于2024年秋季加入Northwestern University计算机系担任助理教授，她目前是Stanford University计算机系博士后，2023年博士毕业于University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign计算机系。研究成果主要发表在ACL/CVPR/NeurIPS/ICLR/EMNLP/NAACL/...，在Multimodal Knowledge Extraction and Reasoning方向上获得ACL 2020 Best Demo Paper Award和NAACL 2021 Best Demo Paper Award。有丰富的带学生经验，曾带领19个学生开发了UIUC Knowledge Extraction System并在NIST SM-KBP评测中多次排名第一。曾获得Microsoft Research PhD Fellowship，EE CS Rising Star等，任ACL/EMNLP Area Chair等。

- 学校极其漂亮，有两块private beach给教工/学生
- 喜欢大城市的便利，又希望少一点大城市的喧嚣和危险，Northwestern绝对是最好的选择之一。遍布校车站，半小时uber到芝加哥市区，到芝加哥机场也只要三十来分钟，外卖都可以点chinatown的。我没有选择排名或地点更好的offer，就是因为Northwestern在各方面都非常均衡且完美。
